All our refurbished devices have been hand selected by our technology partner to ensure they are of an excellent standard. These are pre-owned devices, and therefore you can expect one or more superficial hairline scratches on the case or screen, but in many cases these will be imperceptible to the naked eye. All devices have been rigorously tested and are fully functional, with the latest Apple operating system already installed.

We know that battery life is important so you can stay in touch with your kids throughout the day. All our refurbished devices have had their battery tested to ensure they hold at least 80% of their original capacity when fully charged.

All our refurbished devices come in an eco-friendly box. Each box contains a charging cable and a pin for accessing the SIM card tray.

Moorup is the technology partner that provides refurbished devices for Spriggy Mobile. Moorup is an Australian technology recommerce company that is BCorp Certified and carbon neutral. All Spriggy Mobile devices are refurbished and dispatched from Moorup’s facility in Melbourne.

In our research we have found that refurbished iPhones are the best choice for consistency and reliability. However, there are some great Android phones out there and appreciate that for a number of reasons this might be the right choice for your family.

We know that some parents are choosing to purchase a ‘dumb phone’ either as an interim device, or as a substitute for a smartphone. A ‘dumb phone’ (as opposed to a ‘smart phone’) is a device that does not have data connection capability so it can’t be used for things like internet surfing and apps. A new ‘dumb phone’ can be purchased relatively affordably, and we therefore don’t think it’s in the best interests of Aussie families to offer refurbished dumb phones.

We are constantly monitoring the Australian market for an appropriate child-focussed smart watch, but we are yet to find a device that we would be willing to recommend to families, that has the right mix of age-appropriate features, battery life and durability.
